The following guidelines are in place for the safety and well-being of all of our YMCA participants while in the Fitness Center.
Individuals 12 through 14 years of age must go through a YMCA Youth Strength two hour training class with John Adams. This class will teach the youth the proper lifting techniques, in addition to reviewing guidelines for proper behavior and gym etiquette on the Fitness Floor. A signed parental consent form on file to use cardio equipment and machines is also required. Consent forms & orientation times can be obtained at the front service desk or fitness staff. Youth Age 12 and up may participate in GROUP FITNESS CLASSES with adult supervision. Please note there are specific “Kid Fit” classes for children ages 3 – 12 years of age available weekly.
Youth Age 15 and up have access to use all fitness floor equipment and attend all group fitness classes.
