A recreational Flag Football program based on teaching the fundamentals of flag football, sportsmanship and team work in a fun environment. No evaluation for this group.

This is a running program for youth. There will be a focus on form, proper nutrition and speed.
Point-On Archery is offering a one week Explore Archery Camp this summer at Baxter Close YMCA. Our camp will include an introductory experience to archery. This experience will include basic archery fundamentals and safety. As well as archery games and activities for all participating children. Camp will culminate in a mini outdoor archery tournament on the last day as well as the presentation of earned achievement awards. No personal equipment needed for the camp
C25K is a beginner’s training program designed to get participants prepared to get off the couch and onto the roads; running three miles in 9 weeks. This is a coach led program that offers weekly training, motivation, support and encouragement.
Join us for Spring Break Day Camp at YMCA Camp Cherokee as we explore, examine and enjoy the Kings Mountain State Park environment. A mixture of science, adventure and FUN! Campers may embark on a BOLD & GOLD styled hike, learn what lives beneath the surface in Lake York, experience teambuilding on our low ropes course and much more.
Join Terell Smith over spring break and work on your basic skills. Dribbling, shooting, footwork and more will be taught, while increasing your basketbal IQ, testing your skills and becoming a better player.

Swim Lessons teach basic swim techniques in crawl, floating, back stroke, pool safety and regulations. We have monthly sessions. We provide swim lessons for the following age groups. 8 classes, 2 consecutive weeks per session.

Please Note: While classes fill quickly, we strive to meet the needs of all our participants. If a class is full, please put your name and phone number on our waiting list, as we add classes each session based upon need, pool space, and instructor availability. We will contact you if there is an opening. Also, lessons may be available at our other branches: Rock Hill YMCA Aquatics Center, YMCA at Carolina Crossing, CSD Community YMCA and the Charlotte Avenue YMCA.
Little Hoots Camp is for ages 3 year olds (potty trained) to 5 year olds (entering Kindergarten in the fall). Each week your camper will discover new activities, enjoy pool time, gain independence and make lasting friendships and memories.

Developed by local children’s book author Derick Wilder, Reading Giraffe is the place where books run wild! Our mission is to create lifelong readers by turning picture books into interactive, fun and active adventures in learning. Campers will experience the most creative and fun children’s stories, from the classics to popular present-day reads to Derick’s own works.
Campers nee to bring a drink and a healthy snack. Please will wear sneakers. Each day their will be activities to get campers moving.
This is a running program dedicated to encourage all levels of runners to go the extra mile while training for a 10K, Half or Full Marathon. Must be able to run 1.5 miles to be in this program.
